Hundreds turn out for Boxing Day run fundraiser

Running enthusiasts and their supporters raised thousands of pounds for charity by braving the wet weather to take part in the annual Boxing Day Run across Hindhead Common in aid of Holy Cross Hospital.

Nurses, health care assistants, physiotherapists, administrative staff, management and supporters at Holy Cross Hospital celebrated a year of learning and development at the hospital’s annual prize giving and birthday on 26 September.

Despite a gloomy start to the morning, 18 ladies managed to stick to the game plan and play some fun tennis at the beginning of October while others joined the players afterwards for lunch and a natter.
