Support Services Team

Support Services work to ensure that the business side of Holy Cross Hospital runs smoothly and that the buildings and grounds are well maintained for everyone’s enjoyment. Team members work closely with clinical colleagues to ensure patients experience high quality services continuously.

Members include:

Housekeeping

A team of assistants work with the senior Housekeeper in looking after cleaning, tidiness and personal laundry. They ensure supplies are available and play a vital role in infection control for which special training is provided.

Catering

The Team is employed by a specialist contractor, Aramark, to provide meals for patients, staff and visitors. Each member is involved in delivering a highly individualised service to patients. The Team works closely with the dietician and nurses to make sure patients have a balanced healthy diet.

Maintenance

The two Maintenance Officers, as well as a number of external contractors, ensure that the buildings and equipment are in good working order at all times. Both Officers are familiar with individual patients’ requirements and provide a very responsive service.

Administration and Accounts

The wide range of services provided by this Team includes Reception, Accounts, Payroll, Information Management and Technology and Human Resources. The Team provides a first point of contact for enquiries of all sorts, both from outside the Hospital and within.
